Being able to vent to friends that live many states away is a Good Thing©. A friend of mine from back in the dorms and I chat back and forth via email, since she’s in TX currently, and it’s nice to be able to talk to people that aren’t involved in certain scenarios. We used to do this all throughout college, and it is definitely a health benefit. Eventhough venting accomplishes absolutely nothing, for whatever reason, it makes you (well, at least me) feel somewhat better about it.
I really want to redo the site, but I really don’t want to at the same time. I feel that anything that I come up with, really isn’t going to be anything “new,” but more of this same site rehashed to make it work better than what it currently does. That, and the fact that nothing is really materializing in my head. I suppose I’ll just have to keep looking for images that inspire me. I also, kinda want to be able to have user comments on my posts, but I really don’t want to install mysql, php, etc. And then, even if I have the ability for people to read comments, that doesn’t mean it will be used at all. *sigh*
*New Thing, I’m adding* Whenever I update the website, I’m usually listening to some CD in my (rather large) collection. At the bottom of each post, I’m going to include a “Currently Listening To” section, with a link to said CD on amazon. Don’t know why, just for something different. Hopefully this will also show how much of a rut I get stuck in…and remain in for that matter.
**Currently Listening To: Matt Nathanson - Beneath These Fireworks At least listen to the amazon sampler of the first song, “Angel”. I like that song quite a bit, along with “I Saw”. Matt Nathanson has definitely learned how to use his voice in this CD. The way in which he uses his vocal range has greatly matured since his debut album. Oh yeah, and he’s hilarious, great, etc., in concert (he opened for Howie Day).
